Slow Craftmanship

Each piece is crocheted by hand using carefully selected natural fibers. There is no mass production. Each piece is as unique as each individual. Each piece is designed to be worn/used, loved and cherished and can be passed down from generation to generation.

I started crocheting making blankets and they are my absolute favorite thing to make. Whether for humans or furry friends, create something special

I've been crocheting for almost 40 years and there is ALWAYS, a story behind each stitched piece. This was the first blanket I ever crocheted. I decided to do it because I wanted to see how fast I could get it done and of course, the end result. I didn't have a pattern. I had yarn, a bed and time. I want to say I did it in 2-3 days. I remember getting bored and putting it down to get ice cream (gotta have snacks) but I can't recall if I picked it back up the same day or the next day.

I had so much fun making this Delta blanket. It was ordered and once the design was done, it worked up in no time! However, it felt plain to me once I finished it. It needed something EXTRA which is when I decided to add an elephant border.

When I started crocheting for other people, one of my friends ordered blankets for everyone in her home including the cat! I received this photo saying "someone loves their blanket!"

A woman ordered this for her husband as he loved katanas. When it was completed and presented to her, she cried. Talk about pulling on my heart strings! When she took it home to her husband and presented it to him, she relayed the message that he loved it so much he framed it and hung it on the wall saying it was too beautiful to use.

This blanket was created for a Baltimore Orioles fan

This blanket was created for a Baltimore Ravens fan. The original design was just the raven but he wanted to add, ravens ball so hard, and this was the final result.

I was asked to create a shawl in her favorite color which is green. After a great dialogue, she was presented with this shawl and a series of questions about it since she is a Math Professor. It added an additional touch of personality which made her love it even more!

Sometimes, all you need is a simple turtleneck and that is exactly what I created.

This is a wrap cardigan I created from wool instead of cotton so it would me more wind proof and extra warm! I did end up removing the fringes because they weren't loved.
